For more than a decade, movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have taught us to stay in our seats when the credits roll — and not just pay tribute to the people involved in the making of the films.

Since then, Marvel’s post-credits scenes have evolved into truly unmissable subjects, providing crucial teases and storytelling details for upcoming films.

what happens in Doctor Strange mid credits scene?
It’s a bit of a shocking start to this scene, as the last thing the audience saw before the credits was Benedict Cumberbatch’s Strange, screaming in pain as a third eye appeared on his forehead – identical to what we saw earlier on the malevolent’s head. He is interrupted by the arrival on the street of a woman dressed in purple, played by none other than Charlize Theron. The character she is playing is Clea – in the comics, a future Sorceress Supreme and wife of Doctor Strange.
Clea doesn’t seem at all pleased with Strange, who definitely doesn’t recognize her. “You caused a raid, and we’re going to fix it,” she says. Raids is a concept we were introduced to by the Illuminati at the beginning of the movie. When two universes collide due to multiversal interference, it causes an incursion, which threatens the continued existence of both colliding universes.
Clea opens a portal to a very strange looking world and invites Strange in, as long as he’s not too scared to go along. He takes off his scarf – which turns out to be her cloak – and follows her, after giving us a glimpse of his newly sprouted third eye.

The eye, by the way, also has a history in the comics. It is a manifestation of the Eye of Agamotto, which Strange has always worn on a pendant around his neck and previously housed the Time Stone. It seems that the events of Multiverse of Madness – in which our version of Strange battled the sinister three-eyed variant – allowed him to unlock the Eye, which had various powers including showing the truth, repeating recent events, seeing through disguises (including shape-shifting Skrulls) and probe minds.
what happens in Doctor Strange post-credits scene?
Fans waiting until the end of the credits to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be gifted with some amusing antics from Bruce Campbell. O evil Dead The star appeared early in the film as a ball-shaped pizza saleswoman in one of the universes Strange and America Chavez travel to in the film.
He ends up having a run-in with the heroes, who see him squirted in the face with mustard and bewitched to continually punch himself – a nice nod to Raimi devotees who remember Campbell’s Ash fighting violently with his own possessed hand. Evil Dead II. Strange jokes that the spell will eventually wear off.
That joke pays off in the end credits, which returns to Campbell’s character, as he’s still in the full flow of the star’s trademark antics. He finally stops punching himself and looks directly into the camera lens to yell, “It’s over.”
At least he avoided the temptation to cut it with a chainsaw this time.
