If you’re familiar with the spinning wheel of doom, you’ve come to the right place.

There’s no reason your laptop should be holding you back or taking forever to load even the simplest of web pages. It’s 2022 and we live in a technologically advanced world where there are newer, faster and better models available – and contrary to what you might believe, it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg.

Amazon Prime Day is almost here, and with it comes a bevy of discounts on basic tech products, from Amazon TVs and devices to laptops – the focus of this particular article (although we have specifics for both of those mentioned).

Investing in a new device will only increase your productivity. With most of us still working in a hybrid way between home and office, our laptops have become the most essential kit we own. Our devices also had to take on a whole new role in dealing with the daily grind and for many this was a very challenging feat to achieve.

Taking you from work to the weekend, it could also be where you watch most of your TV on streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video or for gamers among you, it will be where you shoot, kick or explore in environments virtual worlds – all of which require a power level to move forward.

Learn all about the sales event and buy the best laptop deals on Amazon right now.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?

The two-day mega discount event will run through the year July 12-13. More than 48 hours, you can stock up on tech, home and even baby essentials where prices have been reduced.

You have to remember that for 2021 it took place in June and the year before it was October, so mark your journal with the date of 2022 to avoid missing out.

Do you need a Prime account to get the deals?

It’s important to have a Prime Day membership, otherwise you won’t be able to take full advantage of the reductions. Subscription costs just £7.99 a month or £79 a year, but for those new to the service, you can test the waters with a 30-day free trial. Students receive the reduced rate of £3.99 per month.

That monthly or yearly cost includes same-day or next-day delivery, Prime Video, Music, and more.

What kind of offers are available?

Watch out for three types of business; those that will last for the duration of the event (until the item runs out), Deals of the Day or Lightning Deals which – as the name suggests – will only last for a few hours. Once the items are gone, they’re gone, so don’t wait to buy the bargains.

What laptop deals were there in the past year?

Amazon Prime Day is the time to invest in a new laptop. The discounts last year were on all the big names, including Acer, Asus, Huawei, Samsung, HP, Microsoft and Apple. There were also tablets, monitors, hard drives, and accessories that were particularly useful for anyone looking to elevate their setup.

The biggest reductions were on the Samsung Galaxy Book, discounted by 45%, as well as the HP Pavilion 15-dk1019na, reduced from £1,149.99 to £899.99.

What deals can we expect this year?

We’re anticipating that the deals will follow in the footsteps of last year with Microsoft, Samsung, Apple and HP among the names to watch.
