Tom Cruise has apologized to a couple after interrupting their peaceful walk with a movie scene.

Sarah and Jason Haygarth were hanging out in the Lake District when they came across Tom filming a death-defying stunt for ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ and revealed that the 60-year-old apologized for the interruption before paragliding off a cliff.

Jason told Extra: “So my wife and I, one of our hobbies is hiking. We live next to a national park called the Lake District… It’s quite mountainous. Lots of people doing what’s called the Wainwrights… Alfred Wainwright has written a lot of hiking books, and there are 214 peaks and we’ve tried to do them all.”

They revealed that they met two men who said a movie was being filmed and decided to continue their walk.

Jason said: “We went on, on and on, and the helicopters all morning were beside the lake… background near the lake… Thinking, if anything, it would be scenic shots.

“At the end of the hike, at the last peak, we started seeing helicopters going up a ravine and knocking people off the top… We were like, this didn’t feel right. We found the people, they were the cameramen. Got to the peak, we were stopped by what must have been a member of the production team saying, ‘You can’t go. Let’s land the helicopter up there…’ So we took a selfie.”

Sarah revealed that once they were allowed to proceed, they “turned a corner and [Tom] was there… tying himself to a paraglider.

“I could tell it was him right away… When we got there, people were saying that ‘Mission: Impossible’ was being filmed… but I was expecting a stunt double.”

Jason added: “He apologized first for the noise. ‘Sorry guys, I know we spoiled your walk with the noise.'”

Sarah said, “And then he said, ‘I like your dog.'”

Jason continued: “We asked, ‘What are you doing?’ Then he said, ‘I’m going to jump.’ I was like, ‘What are you going to do?’ He said, ‘I’m going to jump.’

“Just before he jumped in, he said, ‘Goodbye! Hope all goes well,’ and we said, ‘Good luck, Tom’.”

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Tom is looking for a house in London after spending the last few years filming in the UK.

Tom has his sights set on Kensington, west London, and a bonus of living in London for Tom is that he gets to see more of his daughter Isabella, who lives in Croydon.

A source previously said: “He fell in love with everything about the UK.

“His daughter lives here, he likes a good cup and loves the fact that he can be himself. The most important thing is that he’s developed a proper circle of friends. He’s the happiest I’ve ever seen.”

And Tom is said to have grown close to Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

The source said: “It became a pretty special friendship. He was so happy to be involved in the Jubilee proceedings.

“There were rumors that Kate and William asked him to do it. It wouldn’t be surprising because he adores the royal family.”
