Genshin Impact‘s Queen of the Summer Festival is back!
Yoimiya has to be one of the most underrated DPS characters Genshin Impact released so far.
Now that this Pyro bow wielder will have her first rerun as a solo banner, along with her Thundering Pulse weapon, the best weapon in the slot, here are some reasons why you should fight for the Festival Queen of Inazuman!
Firework maker and devastating damage dealer
Yoimiya is all about her Normal Attacks, making her a devastating damage dealer just spamming a single button.
That means she can take on bosses alone and can save you when you’re in trouble fighting solo bosses introduced in Spiral Abyss rotations.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s only viable for solo bosses. When paired with a great crowd control character like Venti, she can easily decimate mobs without even breaking a sweat.
Yoimiya’s Elemental Ability, Niwabi Fire-Dance, is her bread and butter. When cast, she infuses her normal attacks with Pyro for 10 seconds, which also increases the damage she can deal.
Paired with her quick Normal Attack animations, Yoimiya basically becomes a Pyro Machine Gun pewpewpewpewpew-ing her way to victory.
Personally, it’s a lot of fun to have to press just a single button repeatedly and finish off my opponents.
Yoimiya’s Elemental Burst, Ryuukin Saxifrage, however, leans more towards supporting the rest of the group.
With her explosion, she deals Pyro DMG in an area of effect and marks an opponent with an Aurous Blaze that periodically explodes when hit by Normal, Charged, or Diving Attacks from characters other than Yoimiya.
With this, her normal rotation with Yoimiya will begin with her using her ability and bombarding enemies with wave after wave of Pyro DMG.
Once the Niwabi-Fire Dance buff expires, you can use Yoimiya’s blast and switch to her sub-DPS, whose damage will be buffed by Aurous Blaze.
After eight seconds (Niwabi Fire-Dance has an 18 second cooldown), you can go back to Yoimiya to start another rotation… that is, if the enemy hasn’t turned to ash yet.
To maximize Yoimiya’s damage output, it’s best to put her on a team that complements each other’s elements for reactions and combos.
As such, Yoimiya can be the driver for a Vaporize/Melt composition alongside a buffer and crowd control character.
That said, Yoimiya isn’t limited to a reaction-based team either.
As she does virtually all of her damage through Normal Attacks, Yoimiya can be paired with Yun Jin or a C6 Thoma in a team where she just pewpewpews her way to victory.
Yoimiya’s premium team can hurt the budget quite a bit because it’s made up of 5-star characters like Yelan, Kazuha, and Zhongli, but it’s not a deterrent to playing her because there are amazing 4-stars out there that go well with her and her kit. .
Here are some F2P-compatible team compositions you can try:
Yoimiya, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Noelle
Yoimiya, Xingqiu, Bennett, Yun Jin
Yoimiya, Yun Jin, Barbara, Thomas
Fun to play, quick to build
Yoimiya’s kit is by far one of the friendliest for non-spending players as she has her own dedicated set of artifacts and can thrive with a free bow.
His dedicated artifact set, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, increases his Normal, Charged, and Dipped ATK damage by 50% for 10s, at the cost of 15 of his energy after casting his elemental ability.
As such, giving her this set fully maximizes her ability’s damage potential.
Since Yoimiya uses her blast after dealing her damage, the bonus energy cost of the Reminiscence of Shimenawa 4-Piece set isn’t a big deal.
Another set of artifacts that can work well with Yoimiya is the 4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames. While this set doesn’t boost your normal attacks as much like Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, you can fully invest in your reactive team as it increases your Pyro DMG bonus and the reactive damage you take when inflicting Pyro on elemental-infused enemies (such as vaporizing, melt, Overcharged and Burnt).
If you still don’t have good enough artifacts for a 4-piece set, you can also run around with a 2-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and a 2-piece Crimson Witch of Flames.
You should look for sands of ATK%, Pyro DMG bonus chalice and a rim of Crit Rate or DMG.
For your weapon of choice, it’s obvious: your best slot is the 5-star Thundering Pulse.
This bow’s passive significantly increases its normal damage in stacks, making it ideal for a strong Yoimiya.
But if you choose to spend little, the 4-star Rust weapon is one of your best bets. While it will decrease the damage of your charged attacks (which you’ll barely do anyway), it will increase your normal attack damage.
For craftable, the best (and only) option you can choose is Hamayumi, which acts like the Reminiscence of Shimenawa artifact set, but instead of losing 15 energy, you get your normal and charged attacks when you have 100% health. energy.
If you like easy kits with big damage, consider Yoimiya as the one for you!
It may seem daunting to use at first, but having it bench your way to victory will be one of the best decisions you can make while playing. Genshin Impact.
Yoimiya is the 5-star character for the second half of Genshin Impact version 2.8, which will run until August 22nd.
